Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Truth

Last night we tried to watch Veep and Girls, both new shows on HBO. Both were horribly bad. I felt sad about this because I adore Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

I finished 50 Shades of Grey while walking down the street in NYC yesterday. Yep. I got off the train, had a mere few pages left and refused to put it down. So I did the walk-and-read for 10 city blocks. Sorry to the people who I bumped into along the way. I'm sure you understand.

I immediately started 50 Shades Darker on the train ride home. Hooked immediately.

I ate a lemon berry trifle last night. I realized that for one of these, it's only about 2 WW Pts+. Not too shabby, if you ask me. Thanks again to Angie and The Secret Recipe Club for this one!

We slept with the windows open last night and my hair resulted in a nest of humidity-soaked strands. Yikes.

I still have Easter candy laying around, taunting me at every turn. I'm happy that all of the Reese's eggs are gone though. I ate every single one.

Picnik closed down, but I'm glad I found PicMonkey! Basically the same photo editing functions and I think it actually runs faster and crashes my Computer The Dinosaur less.

Someone in my house is turning 30 next week. Hint: it's not me!

Can't wait to celebrate Shaun's birthday.

My thick head of hair is falling out at an alarming rate. I think I cleaned half a head out of my brush and the shower this morning. How do I still have so.much.hair, even when it falls out like this?!

Yesterday, I did the messy ponytail due to horribly humid weather.

Shaun put together two of our new dressers yesterday. And I am seriously contemplating feigning illness so that I can stay home and organize them. **cough cough**...er, I mean...nerd alert!

So there's a bit of truth for you on this Tuesday morning.

Now it's your turn!

Dish some dirt!

i lose SO much hair in the shower. it's constantly clogging the drain!

We have those two shows DVR'd....bummer that they aren't good ones!

So I was tempted to kindle the 50 Shades of Grey last nigh! I think you have ma convinced! I've not had a really good book for a few months and I'd love somthing to lose myself in.
I'm with you on that Easter Candy! Luckily the kids have taken care of most of it. Whew! Now if only I can stay out of the kitchen and not bake anything I'll be doing better...

Love a book you cannot put down. Also have the exact same shedding problem. i had to buy one of those drain covers now that we are responsible for clogged drains and paying a plumber...I swear if I could sell the hair I loose from my brush or just drying it, I'd be a millionaire :-)

that darn EL James! there was no way you could read book one and not immediately start book two! then you'll be on three and then sad when it's over!
