Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Duped

So. Last week I finished reading Divergent.

At first, I was really not so into it.

Somewhere around the second third of the book, I decided I was, in fact, into it. And by the last third? Full-blown obsession.

I couldn't get through it fast enough!

I knew this was the first in a trilogy, so I just assumed that at the very least, the second book, Insurgent, was published and available for purchase.

But you know what happens when you assume, right?

Let's just say I made an ass out of me. Not so much of u.

I went to download it last night and found out that...it's not out yet!

Ahhhhhh!

Talk about the bummer of the week.

I'm glad that I only have to wait a couple of weeks, rather than a year (I'm still not over the Delirium dupage), but I want to read it...now!

So while I wait, I need something else to read. I'm debating about this one that's been buzzing all over the place...

Have you read 50 Shades of Grey?

I think it's going to be next on my list, but I'm open to other suggestions.

psst...in case you are wondering, I have to say that between the two recent books I've read (Delirium and Divergent), if I had to choose, I would say that I enjoyed Delirium a bit more, but would definitely recommend both.

I'm trying to wait to read Divergent until the 2nd book is out... I'll see how that goes!

Currently reading 50 Shades and can tell you that is one intense book lol

Tammy you are incredibly sweet! Since I have no patience/need instant gratification, I actually went ahead and downloaded it this morning so I could read it on the train :) Thank you for the offer!

I keep hearing about 50 shades of grey! Keep us posted!

This is my biggest life problem right now (only slightly exaggerating) - all of the books I want to read aren't available yet! I get an email from Amazon, see my favorite author, head over excitedly to purchase until I find out it's only available for pre-order. Bummer!

I just ordered 50 Shades from Amazon based on all the buzz but I have to say I'm a little afraid. ;)

I am almost done with the second book of fifty shades. I am HOOKED and I can't explain why. I think the best way to describe it is literature porn.
