Fall TV Obsession

Can we talk about television for a moment?

I feel like I often want to talk about television and it's no secret that I have a major mild obsession with the tube.

I can't help it...I love me some good TV.

I know that TV gets a bad wrap when it is compared to the silver screen, but give me a good season of dramatic TV on DVD any day and I will gladly take it home and OD on it in a mere weekend. 

A movie, however? You'll probably find me snoring (or at least breathing with my mouth open, according to my husband) in about 30 minutes flat.

So anyway.

You might say that I have a bit of a problem. And I've brought Shaun over to the dark side. Here's what we're loving this Fall...let's take it from Sunday night, shall we? It's by far our most TV-filled evening. Just when I thought we had it all figured out and the DVR set up properly, The Walking Dead went and started and threw a wrench into our whole master plan. C'est la vie, I guess.

Oh and as a side note...yes I realize that the below list is truly insane, and yes our DVR is carefully orchestrated, and yes, we are now behind on almost every show and already in stockpile mode!

Dexter (Sunday 9PM, Showtime)

Boardwalk Empire (Sunday 9PM, HBO)

The Walking Dead (Sunday 9PM, AMC)

Homeland (Sunday 10PM, Showtime)

How I Met Your Mother (Monday 8PM, CBS)

Castle (Monday 10PM, ABC)

Sons of Anarchy (Tuesday 9PM, FX) ---->We are still a season behind, but are stockpiling the current season so that we can dive right in when we're caught up! We had to wait 6 months for the last DVD to come out and I won't be making that mistake again.

New Girl (Tuesday 9PM, FOX)

Parenthood (Tuesday 10PM, NBC)

Modern Family (Wednesday 8PM, ABC)

American Horror Story (Wednesday 10PM, FX) --->Starts tonight! Don't watch it alone! I'm scared just looking at this photo!

30 Rock (Thursday 8PM, NBC)

Fringe (Friday 9PM, FOX)

Fashion Police (Friday 10PM, E!)

Sooooo....

yeah.

I think that's it. 

As a side note, I will tell you that I have in fact given up a number of shows, so that counts for something, right? 

Right?!

These include but are not limited to: Jersey Shore, The Office, Up All Night (this one makes me sad because it was so good last season).

Thanks for the reminder about American Horror Story! I just set it up on the Tivo!!

Why did you give up Up All Night?! Sooo good! I'm excited to watch Homeland, I think we have the first one (or two?) on the DVR...
the American Horror Story billboards all over freak me out so I don't think I'll watch that one!

Modern Family is my all-time favorite! It's my only real 'must watch' show. I usually DVR the Real Housewives and Kardashians just to have some junk in my life. The Middle and Suburgatory are good too. But Modern Family is my number 1! Love me some Phil Dunphy

Big Bang Theory is hilarious! We have a pretty fully DVR too and fall is always so hard becasue the old faves return and new ones are created. I have heard (although have not yet seen) good things about Nashville. I watched that Emily Owens MD this week too which was pretty cute. I am so excited that Bones anre Castle ares back and Major Crimes on TNT is really good too. Also this is a fantastic season of Law and Order SVU. So many TV shows...so litle time!
