Sweet Corn & Zucchini Hash + an Animal Lover's Giveaway!

I have arrived in Las Vegas! I'm blogging from my king-sized bed (which feels very empty without Shaun to share it with!) and my computer is reading 2:51AM Eastern Standard Time, though it's only 11:51PM here. But it feels like almost 3AM for sure! I landed around 3PM, checked into the MGM Grand and darted right out to meet my cousin Mona (who lives in Vegas!) for an early dinner at Border Grill (super duper yum!). Immediately following, I went to a cocktail party followed by another dinner at Strip Steak (I did more of a tasting off of other people's plates for this one). So far, a successful trip!
Meanwhile, I have a recipe to share with you. I threw this together so quickly on Friday evening from ingredients that were on the verge of going bad in my refrigerator. And I'm soooo happy that I did. It's so easy, so fast and so delicious. Seriously.
I am definitely rocking a full-blown, four alarm fresh corn obsession right now. Causes of said obsession may include a) my craving for all things summer, b) its ease of use and abundance, and/or c) its simplistic deliciousness. It's probably all of the above.

With a love for and specialty in animal art, Alyson has generously offered to giveaway a custom pet portrait to a very lucky TAA reader! And if you don't have a pet? Pick out a favorite animal or childhood pet! I absolutely love this idea, and I would be all over this if I had a pet of my own. first off, i'm jealous you're in vegas! what a fun place.
secondly...my two dogs ROCK. carson, the chocolate lab, and wojo, the great pyranese/lab mix, are the cutest pups ever! they are always up to something and love to break out of the yard(wojo actually jumps OVER the fence, while carson pushes through the gate). they roam the neighborhood...begging the neighbors for treats. one day they stopped by the neighbors a couple doors down..they let the dogs inside and the dogs proceeded to go upstairs and take a nap on their bed!
I would LOVE to see my little Nutmeg depicted in one of these fabulous drawings! She is a four year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and has the most expressive little eyes. :)

I would LOVE to win this prize! My adorable little baby girl Bentley does many unique things. She knows how to shake with her left or right paw (She knows the difference) she does back flips when catching her kong, and she has such the "human" personality. She will even sleep under my fiance and I's pillows (she weighs 55lbs!)

Oh great giveaway! I am loving it and I already follow you and like you on facebook! That corn hash is absolutely perfect for the summer. I love the flavors going on and never thought to combine corn with zucchini! Awesome

I'm a huge fan of corn salads - perfect for summer. Have a great time in Vegas (although it's work related)!
As for the giveaway - what a great one! I have to say the funniest thing he does (which is probably just funny to us) is that in the middle of conversation, while Wally is sleeping - he will start moaning really loudly and disrupt everyone's conversation. You would think I would have gotten used to it - but I haven't. :) Cracks me up each time.
