Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Getting in the {Spooky} Spirit

Good morning! I have been busy helping to plan our building's Halloween party this coming Saturday and I am excited for the big party to get here! I do enjoy getting into the spirit of the season, so I thought a little mood board would be in order. Hope you enjoy!

so there you have it. A few things to get you into the spooky spirit! For a few more likeable Halloween things, check out my Halloween board on Pinterest.

Questions of the Day:

What are you digging for Halloween? Any treats, decorations or recipes?

What are you going as for Halloween?

Stars & Stripes

I don't know about you but my holiday weekend starts today! I love the 4th of July. I adore being outside, barbecuing, and spending time with friends and family. But let's also not forget the real reason why we celebrate this weekend...for our freedom and to honor those who fought for and are still fighting for it every day!

Theme-wise, it's all about the red, white and blue. I put together a fun mood board for all things 4th. Check it out.

Clockwise from top left: red & blue baking cups via Bake it Pretty; my peanut butter & jelly bars; Essie Coat Azure and Bungle Jungle; royal blue ring (that I'm obsessed with) via rawadesign on Etsy; Mega Missle Red White & Blue ice pop; stars & stripes placemat via Williams-Sonoma; red jersey dress via American Apparel
