Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Holiday 2014 Recap

Today I'm back in the swing of real life. Real life meaning that neither Penelope nor I can sleep until 8AM, that my favorite track/sweat pants need to be left home (and probably need a good washing), that I can't just eat whatever I want, whenever I want it --->apparently a diet of cheese & crackers, strong coffee and dessert isn't acceptable in real life. I'm feeling pretty depressed about it actually - and mostly because I don't want to go back to work and leave Penelope. I'm happy being a working Mom but after 12 days home with her, today is just going to be rough. I debated skipping over our holiday recap since it's already January 5th, but I know that if I don't do one, I'll be sorry next year when I want to do a Christmas 2014 blog post binge. Since our holidays are mostly the same year to year, I'm going to let my photos do a lot of the talking. Have a great Monday and if it's your first day back after a long break, good luck today!
