Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Monday {Not So} Sunshine

Welp, the gloomy weather is matching my mood a bit this morning as it's my first official day back to work following my maternity leave. It's rainy and chilly in NYC and I'm wearing a long sweater and low boots to keep toasty. I love this bright and happy polish from OPI (OPI on Collins Ave from the South Beach collection, in case you are wondering), making me long for warm days on the beach with Penelope in my lap and a kahlua colada in my hand. Here's hoping your Monday is bright and sunny, despite the weather outside ;)

How do you stay sunny when it's gloomy outside?

I can only imagine that the first day back at work is a hard one. Hope it goes quickly!

I hope your first day went well!! That is one of my favorite OPI shades!

Oh, I'm so sorry the weather isn't doing you any favors as you return back to work. It's been so crazy this spring! Thinking of you this week as you spend time away from your little cutie!
