Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Five Things Friday

{our bootifully carved pumpkin, courtesy of Shaun}

Last night, Shaun carved this awesome pumpkin. We ordered booritos burritos, munched on leftover mini Twix bars and watched The Walking Dead. 'Twas such a perfect evening...until P decided 3:30AM was just the right time for breakfast. So thought I'm disheveled, feeling sluggish and drinking coffee like it's my job this morning, I'm trying to remain zen. It's ok...it's Friday and we have a fun weekend away planned. I hope you all had a great Halloween and have some fun weekend plans ahead!

{a perfectly leafy street; true autumnal beauty}

{roasted fall flavors: butternut squash, gala apples, cinnamon, nutmeg & brown sugar}

{fun & fangy hand sanitizer}

{had to test out the pumpkin pie donut to get it out of my system. Not worth the 10 WW Points+, though. I'd rather have sugar-free pumpkin pudding for 2...}

In regards to the Pumpkin Pie Donut: I hate it when I eat something that looks like it'll be just grand and afterwards realize that I would've preferred something less indulgent and bad for me but equally as delicious. :)
