Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Five {or Six...or Seven} Things Friday

Well we made it through the first week in October. And somehow it's like um...80 degrees in NY/NJ today?! Crazytown. I'm excited for temps to drop this weekend, I'll tell you that much!

This time of year, all I want to do is cook and bake. I wish I had an endless supply of free time to test out a zillion pumpkin, apple and butternut squash filled recipes...and an endless supply of stomach space (without an expanding waistline) to try them all.

This weekend, I plan to get some serious baking done and it got me thinking about all of the truly delicious Fall recipes I've come up with over the years. So without further ado, here are five {or six} of my favorites to date. If you are looking for something yumilicious to make for this holiday weekend, I highly recommend one of the below!

Pumpkin Pie Trifles

Black & Orange Queso Dip (for Halloween!)

Caramel Apple Cider Shake

Maple Syrup Cupcakes

Chocolate Caramel Apple Bars

And though it's five things Friday, I couldn't not mention my two other favorites...

Old-fashioned Apple Pie

Pumpkin Cheesecake

So that's what I'm crushing on today! Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

What fall recipes are you jonesing to try this season?

I totally agree, there is never enough time and calorie allowance for all of the fun baking and cooking I want to do!
