Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Confessions of a Monday

1. Hi, Monday. I'm overfed and underslept. How did you get here so quickly?

2. I had a wonderful day with my mom yesterday.

3. My mom, sisters, cousin, aunt and I had a girls day and all went to go see Something Borrowed. I adored every moment of it. I obsessively read this book on a beach in Miami like 6 years ago. Seeing it on the big screen just made me happy. I don't care what the critics say.

4. Major crush on John Krasinski will now continue commence.

5. I may have eaten a giant slice of Oreo cheesecake at lunch yesterday with the fam. I may have also forgotten to snap a photo for you.

6. Shaun and I went to a wedding on Saturday night. It was so fun and beautiful. All of our oldest friends were there. I may have had 2 bottles of wine. See #1 above. Just sayin'.

7. I made it in my 5" heels! I wore them all night long. I couldn't walk once I took them off, but that's another story. The point is that I did it. And I feel accomplished.

8. I haven't updated the book page in a while. To give you a quick update, I finished A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (and absolutely loved it) and I also read Bethenny Frankel's A Place of Yes. Though a completely different type of book, I liked.

9. Once again on the hunt for a bunch to download onto the Kindle for our trip to Europe!

10. We are leaving for Spain in 4 days...let's move along week!

What's going on with you on this Monday morning?

I'm excited to see Something Borrowed also! I've read all her books. Bethenny's is definitely on me "to-read" list. I just love her. I'm jealous you're off to Spain...dreaming of a vacation there.
Great shoes! :)

Overfed is right on the nose for me. We had both moms to see and both grandma's and each had their own little shindig...uggg I was sooo full!!

So excited for your trip! I'm living vicariously through you ok?

so impressed with you and those shoes!!!

Oreo cheesecake..ohhh my goodness my mom used to buy those for my brother and I all the time. SO delicious!! Love those shoes, too!

Looks like a wonderful day! I've always loved Jim (he'll always be Jim to me) - he is just so dang cute! I'm counting down the days to your trip now too!

Monday mornings after wedding weekends are the worst. Monday mornings after two weddings in one weekend are nightmares!
Cute shoes!

I love those shoes!!! I'm over Monday already and ready for another weekend!

Looks like a super fun weekend, loving those sparkle heels!

Oh my goodness...those heels are beyond cute! Sadly I would never be able to wear them. Haha! I'd trip and make a fool of myself. Props to you for rocking them though!

Not fair- I want to see that movie so bad! I know it is good because I have heard so many great things about it and the cast is incredible. Love the shoes, glad you made it through the night. We all have to suffer at times for fashion sake! right?
