Hi, I'm Rachel.

A few years ago I could barely boil water.

True story.

Determined to be a kick ass wife, I developed a love for football and learned to cook in my tiny Jersey City kitchen. I spend my days working in Manhattan, my nights and weekends chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and the hours in between cooking with my husband and feeding my TV habit...oh, and I blog about it all!

Five Things Friday

I'm rounding up five things that I'm digging!

We finally found a fantastic Indian restaurant for take out. Tikka masala, palak paneer, basmati rice & garlic naan.

Spending the day with my Mom. She taught me how to make meatballs and sauce and how to sew. She's the best ever.

Pumpkin spice marshmallows. I know I can make my own, but these taste perfectly pumpkiny and are even in the shape of little pumpkins! I think these would be perfect atop some pumpkin spice hot chocolate.

Date night with Shaun at Minetta Tavern. I've been wanting to try this spot for a while now, especially after Shaun raved about their black label burger. It was quite possibly the best burger I ever had. Of course, my stomach and body hate me today, but it's a small price to pay.

Halloween movies. I love the cheesy and the scary. No Halloween can pass by without a viewing of this little gem:

i put a spell on you...

And in fact Shaun just ordered the DVD for me so that I can get my fix (and because he's awesome like that) :) I also love a little bit o' scary, so I'll also be tracking down the original Halloween for a viewing over the next couple of weeks! I still think that movie is totally creepy and scary! And if you need a little creep factor on this Friday morning...here you go!

So that wraps up Five Things Friday! Hope you enjoyed this week's installment!

Questions of the Day:

What are your five things this week? (or even your one thing)?

Do you get into Halloween movies? Which ones?

I had no idea that pumpkin spice marshmallows existed! I love any kind of marshmallows... I eat them plain and my husband thinks it's disgusting. :)

And Hocus Pocus.... I so remember that movie! Good one!
