Five Things Friday: Birthday Edition
July 13, 2012
Rachel in Five Things Friday

On Sunday I will turn 30 years old.

A number is a number but I'm ready to tackle my 30s. I think it's going to be a great year!

Since it's Friday, I put together five things that I'm kind of excited about today. Tonight Shaun and I will be celebrating my birthday with a nice dinner in NYC, followed by ice cream (and probably some cupcakes for the road...he doesn't know about that part yet ;)). On Sunday, I'll spend the day with my family, eating goodies and floating in the pool. For me, it doesn't get much better than that!

Clockwise from top left:

Cupcakes. Yup, as in more than 1. That will be happening tonight. Most likely from one of my favorite NYC bakeries, Butter Lane.

A giant ice cream. Perhaps not this exact one from Penn State Creamery, but I'm thinking a super fun version from the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop (I'm already debating hard between the Salty Pimp and the Gobbler).

My party outfit. This neon yellow skirt paired with a white tank, black blazer and fringed sandals will definitely be making an appearance tonight.

Vintage Ray Bans. This was my early birthday present to myself. I picked them up a few weeks ago and have been absolutely loving them.

Party polish. I can't help but rock Deborah Lippman's Happy Birthday for my birthday. This will be happening upon my return home from work this afternoon.

So that's what I'm loving today in celebration of my very own 30th birthday.

I hope you all have a fantabulous weekend! Catch ya on Monday with a wrap up of the birthday fun!
